Imagine a journey that combines everything: exploring new cities, learning Mandarin, volunteering in local communities, and becoming a big sibling to children who will never forget you. That's a Hanhai Culture program. And at the heart of it all? A host family who welcomes you as their own. This is how you truly experience China.
Hanhai Culture invites students and young professionals to choose from four cultural exchange programs: become family as an Au Pair in China, share your heart at the Beijing Children's Rehabilitation Center, hit the courts as a Tennis Coach Assistant, or step into history at the Mogao Grottoes. No matter which path you choose, you'll discover the same truth: connection changes everything.
Children's Rehabilitation Center Volunteer Program
in 2015 and officially approved by the Civil Affairs Bureau of Beijing Putuo District, this nonprofit organization provides specialized care for children with articulation dysarthria, autism, delayed language development, low learning ability, ADHD, Down's Syndrome, and other challenges. Your time, compassion, and presence can help these incredible children feel seen, supported, and capable of growth.
Au Pair in China Program
Hanhai Culture's Au Pair in China Program is designed for young adults who want more than a trip—they want transformation. Through a blend of travel, education, Mandarin learning, childcare, and English tutoring, participants gain skills, perspective, and a second family. Living with host families, they experience China's culture from the inside out, creating bonds that cross oceans and last a lifetime.
Tennis Coach Assistant Summer Program
Hanhai Culture's Tennis Coach Internship places students and young professionals in Beijing as assistant coaches for children ages 4–10. You'll teach tennis, build meaningful connections, and immerse yourself in local life—with full room and board provided by the tennis school. It's the perfect blend of sport, service, and cultural discovery. This isn't just an internship. It's an adventure.
